Showcase plots to illustrate our model

Showcase Plots

Our own fields, which we call showcase plots, enable you to gain a first-hand understanding of how our agroforestry model works with Paulownia trees. We’ve implemented a variety of different configurations to illustrate the different possibilities: Paulownia trees planted amongst cereals, fruits and vegetables as well as livestock. Our model is suitable to all European climates and you’ll soon be able to experience our showcase plots in various European countries. We’re available to meet with you on site to give you a tour and discuss the environmental, financial, and socioeconomic advantages of this model. We’d love to share our expertise with you and discuss any questions you may have!

Our first showcase field

Our first showcase plot is located in Sautin, Belgium. It is comprised of two plots. One combines Paulownia trees with organic fruits and vegetables, some of which are grown in greenhouses. The other contains solely Paulownia trees in order to illustrate how they behave in Belgian soil and under Belgian climatic conditions.

Planting our Paulownia trees

We planted our first Paulownia trees in October 2021 after treating the terrain organically several weeks prior. Our team planted approximately 450 lignified plants in order to sustain winter temperatures. We also installed barriers against wild boar, which are prevalent in the region.
